Eligible employees have two or three plans to choose from. Your options and carriers depend on where you live. You’ll see your specific options when you go to enroll.
How the Dental Plans Work
Under the dental plans, you may pay an annual deductible before the plan begins to pay benefits for basic and major dental care.
Preventive care is fully covered by the plan, even before you meet your deductible, though age and frequency limits apply. Orthodontia and TMJ are also covered before you meet your deductible.
Once you’ve met your deductible, if the plan you select has one, you and Lockheed Martin share in the cost of care until you reach the calendar year maximum, which is the most the plan will pay in benefits for a covered person in a calendar year.
For orthodontia—which is covered for adults and children—and for TMJ, there are lifetime maximums: the most the plan will pay in benefits per covered person over the course of that person’s lifetime.
